Privacy Policy
We keep this simple, because we keep our data practices simple. Orlando Activities is an independent, ad- and affiliate-supported visitor guide. Here's exactly what we collect, why, and the third parties involved.
Last updated June 2026
Orlando Activities (“we,” “us,” or “the guide”) operates the website at activitiesinorlando.com. We're an independent visitor guide — not a tourism bureau, hotel or theme park — and this policy explains what information we and our service providers collect when you visit, and what we do with it.
The short version
We don't sell your personal information. We don't ask you to create an account. We collect a small amount of standard analytics data to understand which pages are useful, we use a few cookies, and some of our links are affiliate links. If you email us or use our contact form, we'll have whatever you choose to send. That's about it.
Information we collect
Information you give us. If you use our contact form or email us directly, we receive your name, email address and the contents of your message. We use it only to read and reply to you, and to fix things you point out. We don't add you to a marketing list.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, when you browse we and our analytics provider automatically receive standard technical data: your approximate location (typically city-level, derived from your IP address), the type of device and browser you use, the pages you view, the site or search that referred you, and the date and time of your visit. This helps us see which guides are helpful and where things break.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use a small number of cookies and similar local-storage technologies to make the site work and to measure traffic. These fall into two buckets:
- Essential — remembering basic preferences so the site behaves the way you'd expect.
- Analytics — anonymous or aggregated measurement of visits and page popularity (see below).
You can clear or block cookies at any time in your browser settings. Most browsers also offer a “Do Not Track” signal and the ability to refuse third-party cookies; doing so won't break the guide.
Analytics
We use privacy-conscious web analytics to count visits and understand which pages are read most. This data is aggregated and used for editorial decisions — for example, deciding which Orlando guides to expand or update. We don't use it to build advertising profiles of you.
Affiliate links & how we're funded
When you click an affiliate link, the partner site may set its own cookies to attribute a booking to us. That activity is governed by that partner's privacy policy, not ours. We never receive your payment details — those stay between you and the operator you book with.
Third parties we rely on
To run the guide we work with a handful of reputable third-party services. When you interact with their content or links, your data may be processed by them under their own privacy policies:
- Booking and tour partners — for example Booking.com and Viator/Tripadvisor — when you click through to book a hotel, ticket or experience.
- Hosting and content delivery — the infrastructure that serves these pages quickly and securely.
- Web fonts — used to render the typefaces you see here.
- Analytics — the traffic-measurement provider described above.
We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit through one of our links. We don't control and aren't responsible for their practices.
How we use information
We use the limited information described above to operate and improve the guide, to respond to messages you send us, to understand which content is useful, and to keep the site secure. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
Data retention
We keep contact-form and email messages only as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up. Aggregated analytics data is retained in summarized form for trend analysis. We don't hold personal data longer than we have a reason to.
Your choices & rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to opt out of certain processing. Because we collect so little, this is usually straightforward — just email us and we'll help. You can also control cookies through your browser and opt out of analytics by blocking third-party scripts.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for adults planning travel. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the guide grows or as the law changes. When we do, we'll revise the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
